AMS awarded 2016 M&A Award

 AMS AWARDED 2016 M&A AWARD

Toronto corporate law firm Allen McDonald Swartz was awarded a 2016 M&A Award for Best Canadian Logistics Acquisition by U.K.-based Acquisition International (AI) for its involvement in the acquisition of Wheels Group Inc. by Radiant Logistics Inc.

Acquisition International also awarded Allen McDonald Swartz LLP a 2015 Acquisition International Deal of the Yearaward for Best Banking & Debt Finance Advisory – Canada & Best Boutique Law Firm 2015 – Canada.

In the acquisition of Wheels Group by Radiant Logistics, a team led by Toronto corporate lawyer Jennifer Allen, acted for Integrated Private Debt Fund IV LP which advanced a CAD $29 million senior secured term loan to fund a portion of the acquisition cost.

The awards celebrate the outstanding efforts and amazing achievements of all those involved in identifying, coordinating and completing the important deals which have the potential to change the fate of businesses, industries and even entire countries.

The nominations were based on a selection of candidates whom AI believed to be industry leaders, as well as third party and self-nominations from subscribers and a base of industry professionals. The voting process was anonymous.

Winners were determined based on votes received, supporting evidence supplied and in-house research, and submissions were judged by the magazine’s six-person awards panel.

“These awards showcase the hard work, dedication and determination of firms throughout the business world, as voted for by their clients and industry peers,” says the awards website.

The ‘Deal of the Year’ award follows all deals, from small national deals to huge international multibillion-dollar transactions, identifying and celebrating firms and professionals who stand out as the leading players across the globe.
