It’s the story of a new firm on the block taking a leap to become even better, even faster!
Allen McDonald LLP is now Allen McDonald Swartz LLP (AMS LLP). The Toronto-based boutique law firm is expanding to meet the dynamic needs of an evolving client base. The addition of 20-year Bay Street legal veteran, Jillian Swartz, to the already talented duo of Jennifer Allen and Fraser McDonald, rounds out the team to make a top-tier legal trio.
Jillian has joined as a partner to continue her corporate, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), technology and not-for-profit practice. She was previously a partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP where she had practiced for almost 20 years.
Jillian’s practice focuses on M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures and corporate reorganizations. Jillian delivers practical business law advice to a broad range of clients, from entrepreneurs and start-ups to multi-national companies in the technology, not-for-profit, healthcare, infrastructure and manufacturing sectors.
“Jillian’s going to be an outstanding addition to our team, not only because of her years of experience, but also because of her enthusiasm, entrepreneurial spirit and true dedication to her clients. We are thrilled for this new phase in our partnership and especially for the enhanced scope of expertise this will bring to our clients,” said Jennifer Allen, partner with AMS LLP.
With over 60 years collective experience in business law, these lawyers are devoted to understanding their clients business needs and objectives, and, through practical legal advice, helping them to flourish.
“We are creating a language of law that is accessible for everyone,” said Jillian Swartz, partner with AMS LLP. “Businesses that need solid legal support include not only multi-nationals and large established companies, but also the entrepreneurs and start-ups of the world.”
AMS LLP focuses on the client and the needs of their business, without getting lost in the jargon.
“We understand that it can be challenging to know what you may need from your lawyer. We want to help grow businesses using solid legal know how, and work with our clients for the long term,” stated Fraser McDonald, partner, AMS LLP.
